Finally finding the time to take a break, Lily curled up on an armchair with the same book she'd had when she met Harry... the same one she didn't seem to be able to read. It wasn't as if it was a difficult read (it was just a muggle fiction) but every time she pulled it out, something seemed to get in the way of actually being able to read. It wasn't particularly important that she finish this book but Lily was the type of person who liked to finish what she started and so she did.
After flipping to the right page (she hadn't needed to look too far into the book) she sunk into the soft cushions of the chair and submerged into the world created by her books and imagination. Lily didn't seem to be able to read a book unless she could put her complete concentration into it (and she was so easily distracted) so she normally chose less frequented places when she wanted to read but the Common Room was so unusually quiet today and it wasn't like this was schoolwork.
Slowly, she became less and less aware of her surroundings as she lost herself to the intriguing content of this mystery. She never could understand why most people didn't enjoy reading...
